Benefits for company vehicles
Save money
By letting Commonwheels take care of purchasing, maintaining and administering a fleet of vehicles you can save your company these costs.
Research has shown that around £60 per year can be saved per staff member. This will be even higher if you are paying to provide private parking for employees. Commonwheels offers a selection of flexible packages:
- Pay as You Go
Get smartcard(s) for your staff and book cars as and when you need them, on the same basis as our resident members. Simply pay an insurance deposit and then by the hour.
- Block Booking
as above but your company has exclusive access to the Commonwheels cars parked at your site. You will pay for the all time booked whether you use the vehicles or not, but at a lower hourly rate than Pay as You Go. This package will give you peace of mind that you will always be able to use the cars when you need them. They will be made available to other Commonwheels members outside your working hours.
- Make the most of your fleet
If you already have a fleet of cars these could be incorporated into the network of Commonwheels vehicles. By simply fitting our technology into the cars they can be made available through the online booking system. This could be for your sole use or shared with the wider Commonwheels community.

Save the world
Using Commonwheels instead of pool cars or a fleet is a more efficient use of parking space and vehicles. Sharing low emission vehicles between more people will decrease your company carbon footprint.
Reducing congestion and the need for parking around your site could improve community relations, particularly if you have overspill parking which affects residents nearby. You could offer the Commonwheels vehicles to local residents outside working hours.
Have happier employees
Many people would prefer to avoid the stress caused by congestion on the way to the office. Cycling is often faster than driving over a short commute, or employees may prefer to work on the train or read a book on the bus. Non car commuting makes for fitter, more alert staff in the morning.
Staff can also have the convenience of using Commonwheels outside work.
